Eligibility and Course Fee

Eligibility:

To enroll for our Atheneum Global CDA training courses of 120 hours in Hyderabad, a high school diploma is a must.
If you already have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, then your CDA 120-hour training is done, now you would require a bachelor’s degree. However, if you haven’t gone through a CDA course, then our courses will be the right fit for you.
To be eligible to enroll for the CDA credential through the CDA council, the 120 hours of rigorous training should comprise of the following lessons, each with a duration of 10 hours at least

Planning for a safe, healthy, learning environment
Steps to advance the physical and intellectual development of children;
Positive ways of supporting children's social and emotional development;
Strategies for establishing productive relationships with families;
Strategies for managing an effective operation of the program;
Maintain a commitment to professionalism;
Observing and recording the behavior of children;
The principles of children's development and learning.

Eligibility Requirement for CDA Councils

If you want to apply for CDA assessment in any of the three settings via center-based, family child care, and home visitor you must meet these requirements

At least be 18 years of age or older.
Hold a high school diploma
Have 480 hours of experience working with children in the immediate past five years.
Possess 120 hours of formal child care education in the immediate past five years.
If you want to apply for a Bilingual Endorsement, you must meet the requirements as enlisted above as well as able to speak, read and write in both English and the other language which can be understood by both children and adults.

The CDA credential framework

The areas that the qualification will focus on are: 1) CDA Training 2) Observation and Testing Process
In the CDA credential framework, each form of certification focuses on 6 competency standards and 13 functional areas.
Candidates are required to be enrolled for 120 hours of formal Early Childhood Education according to the appropriate age group.
Also, 480 hours of clinical experience is required in the appropriate age group.
Formal assessment by a Professional Development Specialist (PDS) accredited by Council for Professional Recognition.
Exposure to computer-based CDA review
Other procedures like the funded training programs (Head Start), four-year schools, community schools may be used to complete the training.
When the recommendation gets approved by the Commission for Professional Recognition, a PDS is expected to perform a Verification Inspection.
The PDS will perform the R.O.R. model during the Verification Visit, which will have an assessment plus an evaluation, reviewing of relevant documents that have proper evidence of first aid certification for children and children/pediatrics.
After the completion of these essentials, the CDA Council will be checking the application submitted by the results of the CDA Test and recommendations from the Professional Development Manager, and grant a CDA certification.
